SHE FLIES THE MOVIE PART II
DEADLINE EXTENDED | 7th December '20
WE'RE MAKING A SEQUEL
She Flies The Movie was the biggest and best launch of She Flies and just over a year later, with the help of Lucas Martinez, we are making another.
This one will be about The Journey: From beginner, apprehension, excitement, through progression, hurdles, elation, and to the life of a professional.
Imagine it. An emotional journey full of awesome women from all over the world. Including you.
WHAT DO WE WANT?
To be a part of this, we are looking for 2 videos of you.
If you can only do 1 of the two, that is ok but the one of you speaking is the most important
1) A video of you riding. Smiling, crying, celebrating, nailing tricks, crashing tricks or trying something new.
We are looking for;
On the way to the spot
Getting ready at the spot
A clip of you with your Instructor
Setting up equipment (close up's are great)
You working out, warming up, preparing for sport
Ready to go! Smiling at the camera, perhaps turning to look at the camera
....and of course, you shredding!
2) A video of you facing the camera.
Using the instructions below, record yourself saying the three words. Please make sure you count to 5 in your head between each word, we will do the editing;
ONE WORD THAT DESCRIBES YOU
Extended to 7th December
All you need to do is send us your videos, using the instructions below and submit the video through https://wetransfer.com/
to , with your name, email address and social media handle.
All films we use will be credited to your social media accounts.
Shoot Steady Video. A Tripod is an easy to get steady video. If you don't have Tripod try to get your body in position so that every breath you take doesn't lead to unwanted camera motion. You can also use the ground, a wall, or another object to brace the camera and get interesting visual perspectives.
Practice Widescreen & Landscape Videos If you shoot with your smartphone it'll be better to use a 16 by 9 ratio and make sure it is shot landscape (for a Movie) not portrait (for Instagram Stories).
Outdoor Shooting It's great to be light, that helps us. If you are going outside, you have to watch the position of the sun closely. Shoot with the sun at your back if you can.
The rule of thirds is a type of composition in which an image is divided evenly into thirds, both horizontally and vertically, and the subject of the image is placed at the intersection of those dividing lines, or along one of the lines itself (check google images).
Remember to Capture Good Sound. Be careful with the noise around you (wind, cars, background noise). Use your smartphone to record your audio with the audio recorder application if you don't have any microphone.
Camera Settings If you don't have any knowledge on settings use the automatic mode. Forget about 4K use 1080HD. Try to record your video on RAW or FLAT mode.
And guess what, we love you, we want it all. Some of the best footage is the stuff that get's edited out, the little giggles, the awkward smiles, the break and the background. Send it all.
All in the name of social media - if you want to share your videos before on your channels - feel free to tag us and use the hashtag #shefliesthemovie so we know to expect it!
GOOD LUCK AND ENJOY THE SHOOT
